Can someone link me any threads dealing with basic info on Lexapro? Does a "mega thread" exist for it?

I know members are encouraged to use the search, but I have numerous times with no results. I don't know if I'm using the search incorrectly or what. I have also tried manually searching through several forums with no luck. Also, I've only ever used the mobile version of BL... How much of a difference between the mobile and full site is there? Thanks.

Also, I just tried to post this in the ODD, and a msg kept coming up that says "choose a thread prefix" and I cannot figure out what that means... I have used BL mobile since joining, and 46 replies/posts later, this is the first time it wouldn't let me post. I've reviewed a few pages in the "why can't i post mega thread" and several people have asked about this, with no replies. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Edit: it let me post my thread in this forum the first time, no "thread prefix" msg this time.

Edit 2: I recently made it to bluelighter status, does that have something to do with the thread prefix issue?

try using the chemical name of a drug instead of a trade name. this usually leads to much more results. this is an international forum so where you live escitalopram might be called lexapro but where i live it's called cipralex. citalopram and escitalopram are almost identical drugs except the former having 50% less potency by weight so searching for information on both wouldn't be a bad idea.

when you have your own question to ask feel free to post it in basic drug discussion for a basic question, other drugs for an intermediate question, or neuroscience & pharmacology discussion for a more advanced question. submit your thread in any of these subforums depending on the depth of the discussion required and the complexity of the question respectiviely. other drugs forum requires prefixes when threads are submitted which label the thread depending on the drug you choose to discuss. in the case of antidepressants "misc" would be the correct prefix to choose.

this thread doesn't belong in other drugs as it's geared towards technical queries so i'm going to move it to our support forum.

I have just skimmed this, thank you very much for all the links and for answering my question so in depth. I will be reading what you wrote and investigating the links later today. Thanks again :)

Mental Health may be a good place to check out too :)

If you're having issues with the thread prefix then switch to the full version (there's links to the full and mobile versions in a stickie thread in this forum) and post while on that. If you can't figure that out then post in the homeless forum and request that it gets moved to the forum you want it in.
