No way to change the date formatting?

I find the day-month-year formatting to be horribly confusing sometimes, but I could not find a way to change it in the settings (which I know is totally changable in vbulletin).

Have I missed something or is there no possible way to change this to the non-european standard of formatting?

if i'm not mistaken this is standard across the board and cannot be changed.

Maybe there's a browser add-on or something you can do.
