New ketamine study with interesting implications

What a bizarre finding. There's a lot of fundamental science based on mouse models that could be called into question based on this. I doubt it carries over to humans since I don't think there is a stress response to male scent within humans; it'd be surprising if there was as it'd be anti-adaptive. It's funny to imagine a world where taking bumps of K off a mans armpit is the recommended way to treat depression with ketamine. Just speculating but perhaps in certain subsets of the population like traumatized females male scent can become a trigger for stress and then maybe a similar effect could be observed?

The study is also implying that unstressed mice don't receive anl noticeable antidepressant effect from ketamine. That bit might translate to humans to a degree.
