I have not slept in a few days (busy and now off meds) and have a tub of meds-Cogentin, Invega, Wellbutrin, Celexa, BuSpar, and Topamax and more. Just need some rest.
I'm sorry my friend, but none of those medications were designed for, are intended for or are really even useful as hypnotics to an appreciable extent. They could theoretically help you get to sleep, but you would be better off simply acquiring a more traditional, over the counter sedative like Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) for instance.
Like was mentioned earlier, the best OTC med I can think of is probably Benadryl. It's actually pretty good at causing drowsiness. I used to take a few more than the directions stated. However I'm not telling you that "you" ought to do so. Good luck!
