My f****ing drug-brain !

I have been sober from "heavier" drugs for 7 years. But I cant stop from using meds like codein and pregabalin (Lyrica) recresionally. I take these in crazy doses to get a euphoric feeling. What should I do?

You should see a cognitive behavioral therapist so you can understand why you feel the need to abuse medications and learn how to replace the need to abuse medications with other activities.

I wish I could help you. I went from heavy drugs and alcohol to the minor ones. Back and forth. The heavy ones risked my life and sent my ass to jail. I tried 12-step. None of that worked. I am like you; I just want to get high and not pay a huge price. Ah, fuck. When you find an answer, let me know.
