Some of the more expensive fridges have a automatic defrosting system, which is basicly also a freezedrier when used as such.
Mine doesn't have one, so like the good ol day's I have to turn the machine of once in a while to get the ice formation of the freezing element's. At least two times a year. Else your apperatus will be consuming more and more electricity. And eventually turns your deepfreeze area into an ice cave. Which is the beginning of the end I reckon.
