mimosa hostilis question

Okay so I just recently bought some shredded mimosa hostilis bark off a website called naturalether.com and I was wondering if there is anyway to tell if it is legit or not. I don't want to start any kind of extractions on it if I'm not 100% sure it's legit. Any suggestions??
