Opioids Methadone Question

Let me first start this off as a simple question. Say a friend of mine took 80 mg of methadone at around 7 last night. This said friend wants to know if the effects of the methadone blockade will still be there if he were to try an use another opiate. I read in some places that the blockade lasts anywhere from 24-48 hours depending on numerous factors. So will my friend be able to use another opiate at around 8 tonight and feel the effects>?

Thanks for your reply. Ya he took 80 mg at 7 last night. He doesnt have that high of a tolerance though so it doesnt make sense that he lived. He has no tolerance in fact. It had been three days since his last use of heroin when he took the methadone 80 mg. What do you mean about acute dosing vs chronic dosing? do acute doses get out of your system faster
