If someone is an experienced heroin user, but never used methadone before, what should they expect if they use the heroin and take methadone 10 minutes after? Will it increase the high?

It will certainly increase the CNS depressant effects - whether that is perceived as an increased 'high' is purely subjective. Methadone is a very powerful opioid and if used on top of heroin it will make you nod hard. It will also increase the respiratory depression and likelihood of overdose...
