Will depend on if and what impurities were present, an acetone wash can only aid in remove impurities, afaik(?) never guarantee purity. But I'm no specialist for meth, I think you'll get better responses later.

From my general understanding it is recommended to inject meth after an acetone wash to remove impurities and ensure you are only putting as much of the actual product in your body as possible.
You seem inexperienced in this regard.
May I ask if you have injected any drugs before? Or are you just new to injecting meth? If you are new to this, I would strongly warn against picking up this method of use with this drug. It is incredibly addictive. And you need to have perfect injecting techniques to manage okay.

Well to answer your question as intelligible as possible I would have to say it all depends on the cleanliness of all your precursor chems and compounds, whether your starting block is p²p or pseudo and more importantly how you crystallize your product...
Three most common types of meth HCl are as follows: #1 powdered meth, very fine usually white powder, personally I like to call this style, the pharmaceutical finish.
#2 Second is the typical old school crystal meth, generally this will come in any colour variation from 1 to 13.5 on the ph colour chart (pre-washed) and will come with a strong fruity smell...
#3Then there's the more solid crystal which is commonly confused as crystal meth, there is a vast difference here and not just in visual perception but smokability, strength, shelf life, durability and smell, also it is crystallized instantly unlike the other 2 types of meth, now before moving forward from what I just said (crystallized instantly) we all know the importance of the conversion from our starting block precursor to meth, whether it be hypo reflux of pseudo E or reductive animation or amalgamation of p²p, without professional understanding and technique in this area the final product will always suffer and fail to reach its greatest abilities.
Now, assuming the conversion of the starting block was performed with immaculate conception, the yield and purity should be at peak levels leaving the two step process to come paramount and imperative to quality and yield of the final product...
#the two step process: basification=adding sodium hydroxide to the solution which has been carefully reduced/refluxed to ultimately reveal meth freebase oil, now whether the solution is distilled under vacuum or undergoes A/B extraction with a descent solvent namely toluene or diethyl ether is totally up to the chemist in charge..
#Rule of thumb=A/B extraction by extracting the oil out of the solution with solvent means to carry out the process then ultimately repeat a total of 3 times and combining all 3 extractions together then wash the solvent is in a seperation flask before going on to crystallize into a HCl salt, now depending on how you crystallize is depending on whether you need to WASH THE PRODUCT WITH ACETONE, hence being the question I'm ultimately answering, so unless your making real shard aka ICE you will be washing your product in ACETONE..whether or not your initial crystals look good or bad upon completion of the process it is imperative to first hot wash the product till it boils then maintain boiling point for at least 2mins decant and repeat the process at least 2 more times, 1 being another hot wash followed by a cold wash, always collect your washes in a flask or dish and let slowly evaporate to enable investigation into what substance was actually dissolved into the tone and washed out of the final product. What you will find happens is that any sodium hydroxide or impurities from poor pill extraction etc is dissolved and removed.
Now the most important thing to happen here is that upon completion of the washing process the chemist will find that L-meth was very soluble in hot acetone and readily soluble in cold acetone, however D-methyl-dioxy1-amphet is only very slightly soluble in cold and perhaps 5 to 7 percent soluble in boiling acetone, never the less it will be recovered from the washed evaporation so don't hold back when it comes to applying heat etc to the wash process.

#Now Before we travel any further it must be known that ANHYDROUS ACETONE must be used for this process, the ACETONE used in this process must be 99 to a 100 percent dry or this process is rendered useless.
#So let's just take a quick look at the isomers D and L just for a moment, D meth being the substance that provides the happy, enjoyable feeling with a positive vibe, euphoria and extreme sex drive.
#So now let's take a look at L-meth, L is the substance that promotes negativity, paranoia, fear, lockjaw, headaches, migraines and last but not least psychosis.
# So looking at the effects just briefly the chemist in charge of creating this powerful drug would almost think immediately to just remove L completely and only release D-methyl-dioxy1-amphet as the final product, however over the past 25 yrs I've studied the manufacturer of the drug and it's precursors aswell as the fundamentals and effects surrounding and directly related to the use and abuse of this drug...
I would say in my opinion people that have abused psychedelics/hallucinogenic drugs earlier in thier life such as LSD, mushrooms etc should take care as they age for they will hallucinate heavier, and fall into psychosis faster and easier then those of which have never partaken in those kinds of drugs, moving forward, people in general as a whole who use or abuse meth amphetamines should be aware across the board as they get older that the older they get the more L-meth effects them in a very negative way
#Now to sum everything up, do you need to wash your meth with acetone before you use it, the simple answer is: YES... However if the meth freebase oil has been crystallized in a sophisticated manner to create pure real tough shards then one would use diethyl ether to wash the final product as diethyl ether must be used in relation with other compounds and an elaborate system to create real shard also known as ICE, ice is not crystallized overnight or re-crystallized using bi-solvent techniques etc, it is a volatile reaction which results in an explosive type of behaviour and the hard pieces of shard form instantly....
Therefore L & D meth are bonded together in a fraction of a second and to wash them properly one would have to hot wash in boiling acetone and crush the pieces up as much as possible making the elaborate system and effort of crystallization rather pointless in the long-run for the presentation of ice is it's major selling point.
