Hi, I recently started IVing Meth and I've done around 4 sessions since last year September and I'm just curious how Meth usage would be classified as frequent or occasional, etc?

When you start IV’ing “frequent” = whenever possible and several times a day and what you eventually will do and “occasional” is what some different normal people manage to do with meth usually by some other ROA.

I’ve been trying to quit IV meth: the distance from “give it a try” to a gram a day is very short.

I recomend valuing the experience you’ve had so far but discontinuing IV use now while you still can.

The problem for many people with IV use is that just being high is not enough, you also need to chase the rush and you develop a needle fetish. The more you take the more you want.

That said, a few people here seem to be able to just have one good shot in the morning to last them all day and them sleep that night - but I suspect they are the exception.

Frewuent use would be regular use from every day to a few times a week, over a period of time.

Occasional use (ie for events or parties) is ridiculously hard as it is addictive.

It's a drug that takes over very easily.

I had a couple of shots last week after months of swearing off iv (over 20 years with this monkey on my back equals vein damage), it's easier to step away from if you step away from the needle...even easier if you have no smoking implement (I'm not giving that up yet).

Care to share what led to your relapse? I’m quitting IV meth and looking for best way to avoid relapse.

I've never gotten enough. Always hoping that remote, distant, perfect sex partner will kill the craving. Done enough of it hoping to get laid and just think the perfect lay will make me forget. Really I am probably just putting it off for what would actually be deeper addiction. In the meantime I do it with the pissed off thought perspective that I've missed out with my previous chances. Most street tweakers I know seemed to have gotten this point right the first time and the chance of an again keeps them there. I got my rocks off with IV coke and porn enough. But there is still a girl stuck on my mind that something *almost* happened with and it's driven me half insane. In the meantime everything is to kill the memory of that close call.

if you've iv'd meth i'd say it's a matter of time before it's frequent. you'll know what frequent is.

I agree , I smashed for at least 17 years have no veins to smash now smoke only . In total 26 years started when it was pure snorted it then . Now its CAT. and weak, cut shit . Still do 1 to 2 grams a day everyday ,lol . Once took a break for a few months and fuck did get high . Biggest thing is to stay healthy ,sleep, eat ,drink water ,exersice or work , be functional user not a binner lol

It'll damn sure sneak up on you, especially in absence of responsibilities. Not hard to stop, though. Just hard to quit.

15- once

19- once

20-21- once each

24- On my birthday. Then didn't touch it for 6 months or so, so I started slow. Soon I was pretty well a weekender or whatever til I was turning 25. An escalation. Drank a ton,. That was #1.

25- IV Heroin addict, I used some meth but it wasn't much of an issue, relatively.

26- I got off the H with methadone maintenance but I picked up the meth again in a big way. I went downhill quickly, and I was pretty well daily and crazy as a look when that stopped just before I turned

27- used a few times, maybe half dozen IDK. I kicked methadone. Had a 6 week relapse with fent and kicked that.

28- I used more than 27, and had a period around summer --> fall when I used frequently for a month or so. Used once in start of December. In January this year 2020 I picked up again hard which takes me to

29- I haven't missed a day.

It'll catch up with you, quite likely. It's pretty much the most psychologically addictive drugs on the planet. 92% addicts going into recovery in a study relapsed. 80% same group stayed relapsed. It's abysmal.
