MDMA's heyday. 80s/90s or later?

Hello again hive mind!

When would you say MDMA was most widespread recreationally as well as most reliably sold as high grade MDMA? would it be the 80s in Dallas and the emergence of the Acid House scene? maybe the 90s with the rise of the Rave culture and the Second Summer of Love? or are we perhaps living in this period today?

IMO it was definitely the 90s.

Really depends on how you define 'widespread'.

And whether or not your world crosses the borders of the USA.

1989/90.

But those starting in 1988 would say 1988.
