Yes, this should work just fine. I've tripped on venlafaxine. Most SSRIs and SNRIs shouldn't interact with psychedelics very much. Some do almost completely block the effects of MDMA though.

It's mostly the older first generation tricyclic type antidepressants that have serotonin antagonist properties that could blunt the effects of a trip.
