Lomotil-does it help withdrawal sweats?

So, my doctor told me that the anticholinergic effects of the atropine contained in Lomotil (diphenoxylate/atropine) will help to quell opiate withdrawal associated sweats. I'm now inclined to ask the community for their input on this. Thanks in advance to those of you that chime in!

You'll defenitely notice a decrease in sweating. But I'm surprised he didn't just give you clonodine..

Atropin is more powerful. and the diphenoxylate is an opioid and will help with the withdrawals

Much appreciated ^ I had no idea, as I had never even heard of this medication.
I now feel confident I can do this. This combined with the clonidine sets my mind at ease.

With the clonidine, it will also be extremely sedating
