Las Vegas

I walked the poisoned grass
where flamingos had their homes
They were plastic, they were glass
Standing featherless,
alone
I fed them cigarettes,
lit up by the sun
And when they tried to flee,
I tied them to my tongue

Oh, did I care at all?
Las Vegas watched me fall

They built Paris in a desert,
where McDonald's sold cocaine
I went swimming in the sand,
and drowning in the rain
We crawled in neon-lights,
through casinos over
bones
I think we died that night,
drunk on cobble-stones

As if we cared at all,
Las Vegas watched us fall

I walked along the strip
and bodies were being sold
The girls all dressed in black,
naked in the cold
I spoke to an old man,
jaded by cheap thrills
He knew the kicks I craved
He knew desire
kills

Could he care at all?
Las Vegas watched me fall

My shoes were dancing slow,
alone on crowded streets
I asked for some reprieve,
God gave me defeat
I gave up on you love,
for delusions in the skies
I thought that I'd be happy,
just one of many lies

Do you care at all?
Las Vegas watched me fall

I woke up by myself,
the mirror showed a threat
The boy that stole the world,
and doused it in regrets
He walked the poisoned grass
and glued feathers to
demise
With dead birds on the lawns
across this plastic
paradise

Why do I care at all?
Las Vegas watched me fall

Good one.Seems like painting in words they n rhymes are cool and the mood touch me.Keep on

There's some real magic going on here—what a spirited dirge for the perils of traversing such a surrealistic (or hyper-realistic) place.

We crawled in neon-lights,
through casinos over
bones
I think we died that night,
drunk on cobble-stones

10/10 would go again.
