just need a Lil help please.

Hello this is such an awesome site for dummies like me. I just wanted to know where I can get the micron filters I keep reading about. Is there anywhere that I can get them for free? Through the mail? Also I work in a lab and I know there are different sizes .....which is appropriate? You'd think I would be able to find these at work but we don't use filters for stuff I'm a microbiologist so we want all the yukky stuff so we can grow and isolate the colonies and then we plate and then check for resistance. It's a,Lil more in depth than that but I don't want to use a bunch of million dollar words and have people go huh? Anyway thank you for any answers to my querries. Oh and is there different sizes for different types of things that one wants to put in their body via a needle? Thanks again.
