IT Cetification Exam MEGA-Thread

i finally did my network+ passed by the skin on my teeth

i got 776, and the pass result 720...

oh well, work have said they wont pay for anymore, and i doubt i can afford to do off my own back... so i shall see how i go.

my boss just purchased the CCNA video training from trainsignal.

Obviously it starts with all the CCENT stuff first. I really need to find a router i can reset and use for all the prac stuff in it.

For anyone who has done any of this, can you recommend a router simulator or something similar?

My certs: CCNA, MCITP: Enterprise Messaging, VCP3, VCP4, NCDA(NetApp), ITIL v3 foundations, Server+

When I have the required years in IT security I'll get my CISSP.

BUMP

I have an AMAZING networking job opportunity in the near future. I need some training however and it seems certifications are the fastest route.

So my question is: where do I start? CompTIA Networking certification or should I go with a vendor cert like the Cisco CCT/CCNET?

CIP provided through AIIM is another one. I think this one has only been around for a couple years.

for networking go straight down the Cisco Path

I wish i had more cisco experience

Even more so now that next week im doing a Cisco phone system course and should probably know how to configure a Cisco IOS device.
