  • Cognitive decline: Many opioid drugs are associated with cognitive impairment and slowed reaction times. Complex tasks may become more difficult with long-term use of tramadol, and users may present a danger to themselves or others when driving.
This is the problem I am facing.
I use Tramadol about 2 or 3 times a week, and I am motorcycle racer.
However I dont race motorcycles within 24 to 30 hours of taking tramadol and have no big issues with reaction times, YET.
But I fear that long term use of it will cause a PERMENANT Damage to my reaction times.

My questions are,
Do I have to quit tramadol if I dont want to loose my reaction times?
If so, is this issue present with ALL opiods? {I.E Heroin, Opium Derivatives etc}

Please help thanks.

I also regularly use and train my reflex when it comes to biking, so i still have a doubt it can fuck with it.. but I need advice from someone who knows more about it.
I have also been using tramadol twice a week for about 1.5 years..

I really need help.
I dont want to leave tramadol and I dont want to let go of motorcycle racing..
And my Borderline Personality Disorder Is not helping.

I don't think anyone here is going to tell you that it's safe to race motorcycles while taking this medication. I would suggest talking with your physician and together decide if the benefits outweigh the risks. Be safe!
