Is there a way to reverse amphetamine tolerance back to baseline?

I am wondering is it possible to return amphetamine or methamphetamine tolerance back to a baseline? Is there an abstinace period? I hear DXM can but how is it done? A certain dose? If not i hear baking soda in water before amphetamines can intensify their effect and the effects will be stronger. Anyone know if this is true? I take it medically for severe lethargy, fatigue, and brain for from lithium at 1,200mg but do use it recreationally and seem to have built tolerance to my usuual 20mg dose. Trying to see if i can reverse it abd not use it recreational since i need it to pretty much function and not be in bed all day and useless which feels like shit. Can anyone offer advice? Thanks.
