I believe in a four part human. 1. The body 2. The soul 3. The inner-soul 4. The brain. I see our brain as like a radio. The brain picks up the soul, the soul is not of this world, it's our consciousness. I'm no naturalist, I believe our consciousness is super natural in of itself. I think the brain works like a radio and picks it up, similarly to how the a tv picks up a broadcast, but the TV show you watch isn't made inside of the TV. The inner-soul is a god given entity existing within us. I believe if we can just tap into it we can change ourselves. Philosophically, I hate the phrase, "be yourself". I prefer "become yourself". Don't be content with who you are. Be a better person. I support customizing your personality like a Saints Row 2 character. The inner-soul is largely a mystery. I believe that's the source of natural morality. I believe that each of us have a sense of right and wrong inside them coming from God, but most of us cannot know what that is. As for tapping into spiritual power, I believe that's why religion was invented in the first place. Examples of this include Eastern meditation, psychedelic use, charismatic Christianity, speaking in tongues, changing sexuality, use of chi, new age stuff, Scientology... I believe all of those things have produced super natural results at some point. All of these are an example of human beings using the potential of the soul.
What about God? I believe he's an apathetic god. He made us as a science experiment or out of boredom. I'm not even sure if he watches over us or not. He gave us a power however, so I believe he intends for us to help ourselves. I also think god is amoral, meaning he's not good nor evil. Other than that, God/afterlife stuff are a mystery to mankind.
As for morality, I believe in 1 objective sin. To derive one of thier freedom or bring harm to them. However, there's an infinite amount of subjective sins. Whatever you think is a sin, is a sin for you.
So, what religion am I the closest too?
