Is taking Hysingla Er 40 the same as 4 oxycodone tabs

The doctor put me on the hysingla ER 40mgs this month swearing I would get around the clock relief. Well that's total crap, they don't help at all. I was better off taking 6 tablets of oxycodone a day. Do you guys think it would hurt to cut them in half and take them that way. I just need some pain relief and I'm sure not getting it like this. I have chronic back pain from herniated discs. I didn't know if 40 mg of hysingla er was the same as taking 4 10 mg of oxycodone tablets. Any one have a clue. Ive been searching online for hours and can't find any information.

I haven't taken these but it seems you may be better off asking him for the 20 mg to take twice a day. Perhaps he would be willing to put you back on the oxycodone, or at least supplementing with oxy for breakthrough pain. How long have you been taking the hysingla?
