As far as they have the same roots and both semi synthetic.... But are they similar in effect?

Oxycodone can be taken after any other opioid without any problems. Subutex can only be taken after abstaining from any other opioid pain med for 24 hours or precipitated withdrawals can happen and are horrific. Subutex/ buprenorphine is also a pertional agonist and while it is potent by weight it is not as efficacious as full agonist opioids. Oxy is also fairly short acting vs Subutax which can last for 24 hours. I would suggest using the search engine as there's a ton of info available on both meds.

OD>>BDD

Some people need to wait more than 24 hours based on habit size and opiods used.

Irina, I'm sorry, but there's not enough Harm Reduction involved in this to truly warrant keeping it open. Please be more specific or have a clearly defined objective in mind when creating threads. Both are Opioid agonists, although Buprenorphine is also a partial antagonist, which tends to make it subjectively less enjoyable. This also makes it less likely to cause fatal overdose through respiratory depression. As far as discussing the subjective differences between how they make you feel, that's not something we do. We only discuss safety and Harm Reduction.

If you have a more specific question that you need help with, please don't hesitate to create a new thread, but a thread that is just "compare and contrast these two drugs" just doesn't have enough juice to keep it alive.
