Is my porn/ sex obsession making me anxious?

Hi all, I started masturabating when seeing my first black and white porn video of my brothers when I was thirteen, and I've been an addict ever since using Internet porn, I'm 37 and I feel wonderful when I climaxed to beautiful women I wouldn't get in real life but I've always wanted to do real thing and have a real girlfriend but the whole thing makes me anxious and I avoid going out to meet real women. Some people confuse me, some people say real sex is a 100 times better than mastubating and my brother who has 3 kids and wife says you'll be disappointed once you done it and it's all hype. I am confused and frightened and don't know what to expect. How can I reduce my anxiety about it and get a more realistic view on the whole thing? Am I fussing over nothing really?

I have morals and don't believe in paying for sex, I used to do a music course on a certain street in my city and is known to be red light zone and most prossies were ugly or drugged up like zombies or both. So that put me off the idea! I prefer to meet someone who will love me not pretend like an old whore!
 
Women in porn are getting paid to have sex as well. Does the existence of a camera suddenly make everything morally okay?
 
Depends what porn it is, if it amateur or not, yes they get paid but it not me paying as I just look at the free stuff on Internet and is a lot easier to access and forget later, if I was going to get a prostitute it would be someone I know and could be trusted and reliable. Dunno if I could just pick up any stranger prossy could have any STD or disease! Or maybe they could legalise brothels and provide on NHS? Lol.
 
How about ditching your porn habit, which will boost your self esteem, and chatting up attractive women at your local bar? Pull yourself together, you can do it.
 
I had a look on the local escort site, the women on there come across as idiots tbh, one has a profile that says " I am a cock worshiper, I will be your private porn star! " dressed in suspenders and a whip just puts me off the whole thing, I never really see anybody offering shy sweet girlfriend type that actually are pretty and cute, they are mostly the opposite witchy slut types! Total turn off! Think I will just go mgtow! Ll.

You've got some pretty negative and warped views of women. I honesty don't think you'll be in a loving relationship, having sex or really even communicating with women until you *massively* address them.

I don't have a negative view of women in general, I know there are nice women out there but no man will find them on escort sites and it's obvious a lot of them are sluts!

No, they're just women. As I'm sure you know, the word slut is used as quite a powerful and disrespecting slur. Plenty of escorts will be 'nice women'. Why wouldn't they be? If they enjoy having lots of sex and/or get paid for it, then so what? Regardless, escorts are for sex, not being girlfriends, so it's kind of redundant.
 
By having an everyday habit of masturbation as a man you will most likely deprive yourself from the vital energy needed to achieve goals in life.
Check out kundalini yoga, it deals with that issue specifically. And if you can learn how to control yourself and control that energy arising within, you'll boost the confidence, your productivity and creativity levels and after a while you'll thank yourself because sex with real women will be sublime! Its hard to break up a pattern that is based on such strong self gratification but you must be persistent.

I quit jerking it and my anxiety went from like a 9/10 to about a 2/10.

And by quitting I mean like going from once a day to once a month.

Yes I know they are just sex workers, but I'd would like an escort with a girlfriend like experience or cute innocent type personality but on that website I looked at were more like porn star experience, I spose that is what men are after in the sex market. But I know it all pretend! ITS not about just sex, What I really need is real partner or soul mate, I'm 38 next and still ain't found her.
