Is most of the mdma sold racemic?

For amphetamines, the left handed version has little in vivo activity, which is why 5mg dextroamp is like 10mg racemic amp. Is this the same with mdma and also is all the mdma sold in a racemic mixture? If someone was selling dex mdma then you would probably only need half of a normal dose to roll hard?

From what I've read all MDMA is racemic because A) it is difficult to seperate the enantiomers and costly B) supposedly there is a bit of a mystery over MDMA because neither enantiomer on its own produces the 'magic' effect according to a study I read. Only racemic MDMA produces the magic feeling.
