I read on wikipedia it has antipsychotic effects so I have been using it for some time

I very highly doubt it. Personally, I've never noticed any improvement whatsoever.

What compound does it contain that could possibly have anti-psychotic effects?

Only way I can see it beneficial is cuz drug use among schizophrenics is pretty common, using kratom is probably safer than using most other stuff. I’ve met few schizophrenics who keep smoking weed, even convincing themselves it’s good for them, yet it sometimes triggers their symptoms.

Be aware that just about any drug can do that. Even drugs that could usually be used to calm a psychotic patient can in fact trigger psychosis in some, still kratom is probably among those that have minimal chance to cause that. Ofc drug interactions are another problem that doesn’t skip kratom either.

Well ofc if you use it for pain or something like that too, than it’s beneficial in that way too.

It could probably calm the person down slightly. I don't think it would potentiate any symptoms of schizophrenia, but it really wouldn't help it much beyond perhaps slight anxiety really. There's just not gonna be a correlation. Although, remembering someone saying there was a study on opiates for people with schizophrenia based on some theory but can't remember. It won't be like stimulants or marijuana at least.
