Is it appropriate to ask for a refill for my adderall early

This is more of a question then a discussion topic, but I have no clue what the rules/laws are for prescriptions in Illinois, especially for a drug like adderall, so I figured I'd ask you guys. Would my doctor be able to refill my prescription a week early? I know it's only a week, but I'm running very low plus plan on being out of town for around 2 weeks, meaning if it can't be filled a week early I may have to go w/o it for a week while out of town.
