Is fasting ok when tapering off suboxone???

I have been tapering for about a year now finally down to .5mg a day for subs. Its like my 6th day on.5 im doing better now. I am in good health and have been eating good for months now. I was wondering woukd fasting for a day or two help with getting off this last .5mg id atill be taking it, plan to drop to .40 next week assuming im feeling ok and 100% equilized on my .50 (i never drop until i feel ok from current dose) i heard fasting can help detox ypu faster. Any thoughts experience ideas or help would be appreacted i just want to be free and clean..
