So I've been diagnosed with adhd ever since elementary school. I've taken concerta and adderall and I did not like the effects back in school.
Recently I've been prescribed IR Ritalin 10mg x2. (I've had trouble holding a job with being distracted and being a single mom of two) I've noticed it does wake me up in the morning (I also take 50-75mg of trazadone each night which normally makes me groggy in the morning) But when I take the Ritalin, I don't notice anything until it wears off around 3-4 hrs and then I become tired. So is it just too low of a dose for me? When it's "supposedly active" in my system, I see no difference, if anything I'm even more forgetful. I know this It's a controlled drug and all but from my info, what would a recommended dose for me be and how should I speak to my doctor?
Btw, I do not like ER pills because I have insomnia as it is..little help?
