Increase in Xanax dosage

Hello,
Just nervous looking on opinions. But anyway My Grandfather just passed, and I am not handling it well at all. Currently Rx'd 3 1mg a day (90/mnth) But was going to ask to switch to 45 2mg Because the 1mg dosage isn't effective in my severe panic or anxiety. And basically Wanted to ask if I could have extra this month because of how unwell I fell?

I am sorry for your loss
I know the sadness one feels when losing a loved one, do you have anyone around that can support you through this difficult time?
When I lost my dad is 2014 I also wanted to take pills etc but I managed not to through a good support network.
