Personally...I absolutely love this movie. Maybe because I really enjoy seeing Bruce Willis act like a bafoon, or maybe its just an overall fun movie. I know this movie was ripped apart by the critics and did horrible in the box office, but I think its a classic... Personally I love the musical scenes where Bruce and his partner sing songs while stealing high priced items...Great shit...what does everyone else think of this film?

Are you serious?

It won the razzie that year, for good reason...

What the hell Bruce Willis was thinking, I don't know...

I cant remember where is read it, but somebody claimed to make a parody sequel called "Hudson Hawk 2: the apology"

i seem to remember this being one of the biggest money-losers ever.

it's a fun movie... i should emphasize that it WON that razzie, i don't think it was a waste of my time- i had a lot of genuine laughs from the movie.

I liked it - it was completely silly and cheesy. I laughed a lot.

That doesn't make it a good movie though ;)

it's officially in the top ten. budget was >$60M and it made $17.5M in the US box office.

i'ma big fan of bruce willis and i also love REG to bits so i enjoyed the movie on a certain level, 'awful' though it was :)

i wasn't saying it was a GOOD movie...just good for a laugh. The whole thing is fucking absurd and ridiculous. I think its fucking hysterical and its flop in the box office makes that even better. Seeing a huge name actor like Bruce Willis in such an absurd movie makes it even better. Don't get me wrong, nearly everything about the movie is horrid...from the acting to the storyline is gabage. But it is definately funny.

I do LIKE the movie and find it entertaining. It is NOT a high quality movie by no means though, its just fun to watch after a few bong rips

Even at the age of 12 I couldn't like this...but I'd probably give it another chance now since I haven't seen it in such a long time.

i still like the idea of singing together to synchronise a convoluted burglary, and being drugged unconscious and waking up in another country very far away blew my young mind (despite the packing styrofoam peanut filled box he brucie falls into). i never not liked this movie, but then i've always had a soft spot for self-consciously silly things.

There's a fine line between self-consciously silly and desperately self-deprecating.

Also, if you were an American there wouldn't be the accent barrier and you would be acutely aware that this film is the gayest thing on planet earth.

accent/ack-sent, set your expectations appropriately and you'll never be disappoint

Whoa whoa whoa, I didn't know this thread was advertising free kangaroo cocks when I bumped it.

I'll be the first to say that I not only like Hudson Hawk, I think it is a genuinely good film. Richard E. Grant's character is fantastic. "If Leonardo Da Vinci was alive today, he'd be eating sushi naked in the back of a limousine with the two of us." It's a fucking weird film but that's a good thing. Like Breakfast of Champions. Personally I'd prefer to watch an original film with a lot of character & style over a stock-standard action film any day. For that reason, Hudson Hawk is one of Bruce Willis' better films. He's only been in eight good films.

Twelve Monkeys > Pulp Fiction > The Fifth Element > Planet Terror > Hudson Hawk > Breakfast of Champions > Unbreakable > The Sixth Sense

All the rest of the macho singlet-wearing action shit with big guns and no imagination I can do without.
