Ok so earlier this year during May I tripped on acid. I then tripped again 5 different times all in the month of June taking sometimes up to three hits of LSD at a time. I haven't tripped since June, but now it is now October of this year, and I am still seeing visual effects as if I were on LSD. I have concluded that smoking weed enhances the effects of HPPD (Halucogenic Persisting Perception Disorder), but even when I realized that I would continue to smoke weed because life is tough. I've now gone 1 week without smoking weed or taking any other drugs and I can still see patterns moving on floors, and texts moving on screens if I really focus on it. My question is will these effects go away over time especially if I have decided to not smoke weed?? I feel like this is a major problem in my life because I don't want to see things moving all the time, but I must say it is more noticeable if I really focus on it like I said. I've read so many forums saying that there is no cure for HPPD and honestly that depresses the fuck out of me. I seriously think that if this doesn't go away especially in 4 or 5 years then I will honestly kill myself because of it. I don't know what to do anymore so your support is greatly appreciated and thank you for taking the time to read this.

there's no surefire way to to cure your ailment but don't despair, the best cure is healthy living (no shit).
its not a quick fix and you have to commit, but it will help.
a friend of mine wrote this article (http://www.vice.com/en_uk/read/wrong-pill-eyesight-chronically-grainy-876) about HPPD and i know from talking to him that his situation has drastically improvd.

give it a read fella, and don't give up hope! there is a light at the end of the tunnel (forgive the cliche).

Ok thank you for the article. I have already completely cut out smoking and doing that has helped a little bit but then again I've only quit for a week. I am seriously hoping this isn't a forever thing, but the only thing I notice from my HPPD is just movement in patterns and words but no other symptoms really. I'm praying that these movements will eventually go away with time but I'm still reallllly worried about it. :(

like i said, its no quick fix for this man, so you can't lose heart! especially as you've only quit for a week now.
no one can really say currently how long this will last - it took my mate a long time to start to see (forgive the pun) improvements. but you've got a head start, cause he's quantified what you need to do. no drugs, no booze, exercise, healthy diet - in some ways its a blessing cause mannn you'll probably live a lot longer than most people due to your program! stay strong :)
