How to Acquire Dilaudid

How would one acquire Dilaudid. Can a doctor actually prescribe Dilaudid IV for take home use? I would assume they CAN but has anyone heard of them doing so in a comventional practical sense? Is this something that would need to go through a specialty pharmacy? How would they set up the IV line catheter ?
 
This definitely isn't appropriate for a harm reduction forum...
