And some hip new lingo too

So I just got in with a jazz/funk/rap/r&b jam group and realized the average age of my favorite songs is approaching a half century. I'm in my 20's, but I just never got into anything modern until last year.

If I keep playing with these guys i'm sure i'll get more familiarized with some modern stuff, but I want to get a head start.

I need your favorite songs, albums, artists from the past few years with some potent bass lines and some new ideas.

Lol, sorry got no suggestions, but just wanted to stop in and applaud the thread title 👏

I guess the band mates told you about Snarky Puppy already?

Yeah, i'm into Snarky Puppy, Mononeon, Sungazer, they were easy for me to find. But yeah, stuff along those lines is perfect

So i'm back after an inappropriately long hiatus from my own thread.

There were some issues and the band was not operational for a little while. But we're back up after slapping that life alert and I have just got reacclimatized to my five mouth bass.

All great suggestions, keep em coming. I just discovered Esperanza Spalding
