PLEASEE PLEASE HELP! the post isnt as long as it looks but heres my to long diidnt read ....

Can I get off subs by masking sub withdrawal wirh other narcotics ? Thus making sub withdraw so so much easieer soni can finally get off it ?r's all prescribed as well but if I ask a dr about it then they'll just immediately think I'm some addict and I get that enough because of my invisible pain disease..even when they have proof at the exact same hospital or a big surgery scar ....

I've turned to so many forums and noone answers me do I'd appreciate if I could get answers, experiences etc before I get discharged from hospital and my obstruction. /blockage ...

QUESTION :
I was wondering if it's possible to get off subs if I take another narcotic meanwhile instead to help through the worst parts of the sub detox .
I have a pain disease and used to take Norco twice a day for like 2 and a half years . I didn't know you could be dependant , I always figured addiction was just mentally wanting somerhing badly .

I couldn't handle the withdraw from Norco. The restless leg syndrome even with gabapentin was just too much. It was that restless leg cramping and tons of anxiety and sometimes stomach would start to hurt.

I mean I wasn't abusing them I took exactly as prescribed and I'd get withdraw slipping through every 6 hours. So I started suboxone 8mg strips through same dr to get off Norco easily. Subs compelrelt tooo all the wd away each time i took a bitbof one .....

But I didn't know you could get dependant on it as well and everyone says sub wd is worse... I usually only take no more than 4mg strip a day. Somerimes even less. Im sick of it.

I had a huge disease flare up and was in the hospital for a week. My last sub was I think 4 MG and should've been on April 4th

I' was on iv dilauded every few hours for like 5 days. Got sent home with some Norco and when I woke up next morning I felt so miserable. Which I assume was from the suboxone .....I'd have to take like 15 MG Norco just to get rid of most of it. And after 2 days at home I'm back at thr hospital again. Today is day 2 back and back on IV DILAUDED 2mg every few hours .

I've never gone this long without a sub ,not even close ...and I'm wondering if I can get off subs completely while on iv pain meds on the hospital(since it's obv masking it ) or Norco at home(I only have liken6 Norco left which is if lucky 2 days worth if i have that withdraw feeling again which I think was from the subs ...but this way i can make the detox from subs easier. I'm not like you guys, I can't handle the misery of it.
Trust me I've tried .

Otherwise I'll have to go back on subs whenever I'm discharged,( I have no control over when I go home or get to but it'll prob be this afternoon...)so I'd like responses as soon as possible so I don't mess up this opportunity by takinf the sub at home before i get answers ..ifbthis will work

Weed doesn't really help i tried , and I only have like a few Xanax like 3mg only ...so if If yall tell me this won't work I'll have to try to force sleep with meds at home for 24 hours so I can take a sub and not get precipitated withdrawal from the iv dikauded . In the past it'd be 2p hours and I'd be fine but if I do have to go back on it I'll wait 24 hours to hopefully prevent precipitated withdrawal... because I'm so stressed scared. And I desperately want this to work so I'll never be like this again. Because when my disease flares up dubs spent enough for that level of pain and subs are making pain meds barely work for me .

I'm sorry long text but i wanted to make sure I explain exactly so someone can give me a response wirh enough info from me. Please I'm desperate for answers before this afternoon .....
I mean I read that thr first week without subs is the worst and it's been over a week.

Have a safe Easter

The way opiate withdrawal works is you need to flush the drug, around 5 x the half life of the drug and then have the system reset, around four days. Unfortunately there is no way to use another opiate to skip the withdrawal. Everyone pays the piper.

Dilauded is a very easy drug to detox because of its short half life. it will suck bad, but for a very short time.

Sending love and support.. Share your condition if your comfortable with that.

Tapper your subs till at max.2mg a day. Then tried to substitute it with an oxy or hydro or morphine...even kratom. You can easily become addicted to other stuff, which don't know is it better or worst for you. Also try to take your substitute orally.

There was some information on high dose Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C or Liposomal Vitamin C being used to assist with suboxone end of the line tapering/withdrawal.

So I'm confuesed...if I take ascorbic acid vitamin 6 it may help make the withdraw symptoms less severe?

I'm dependant on subs . I havent had a sub since April 4th because I've spent all thisntkme in the hospital on iv pain meds for an obstruction and should be going home tomorrow and was hoping that I'd have subs out of my system thos long meaning I won't have to really suffer ...

Yes but with acsorbic acid vitamin c because it doesn’t cause stomach upset like standard vitamin c. It will make them considerably less severe but you have to take a lot upwards of 2000-3000mg every few hours during the day. The 2nd link is a guide with instructions. Best to use if you’re at the end of your taper and jumping not to continue alongside a taper or alongside using with another opioid.

Personally, there is only 1 way i've been able to have a successful run at this. Like someone mentioned get down to 1 or 2 mg of sub and switch to a short acting (heroin was my choice, but oxy, morphine etc). Do this for like 2-3 weeks while the sub runs its course and get out of the body... keeping dose low as posible. When i jump from the dope i have an intense supplement stack.

morning- vit c -500mg, vit d3- 250mcg, b-complex- ?, b12- high dose (2x a day), fish oil- 2400mg, Mucana Pruriens- 1000mg (this helps produce dopamine)
Vitamin c-
ameliorate the withdrawal symptoms of heroin addicts when taken at doses of 300 mg/kg b.w/day, supplemented with vitamin E (5 mg/kg b.w/day).
L-theanine- 200mg (3-4x a day)- direct influence on brain activity, such as reducing stress
Mucana Pruriens- 1000mg (2 or 3 more x a day)- which converts to the chemical dopamine in the brain. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that promotes enjoyment and interest in life. It also increases mental focus and feelings of pleasure. Addiction destroys the pleasure/reward center in the brain. That’s one of the reasons the psychological terror of opiate withdrawal is so intense.
Magnesiusm (citrate most absorbable)- 500mg (3-4x a day)- relaxes muscles, reduces stress, tension, irritability. Aid in sleep.
Black seed oil- Studies suggest this may help, but i don't remember the few good articles i found at one point, some time ago
DLPA- 500-1000mg 2x/day-DLPA is great for opiate withdrawal depression, anxiety, and fatigue. Furthermore, it’s the most important supplement to take for the next few months after getting off opiates because of its ability to increase dopamine and endorphins
Passionflower- 1,000mg- 3-4x a day- This powerful herb is known for the treatment of insomnia, anxiety, gastrointestinal upset related to anxiety, and relieving opiate withdrawal symptoms.
Valerian- 500mg 3-4x a day-By blocking some nerve impulses from reaching the brain, the herb is able to shorten the amount of time it takes to fall asleep, as well as improve the quality of sleep that results. Valerian is also believed to lessen anxiety because in blocking brain receptors for the neurotransmitter GABA, it also inhibits nerve impulses and stress-related messages from reaching the brain.
Gabapentin- 600-900mg 3-4x day (actually say 1800/day is sufficient- helps with blocking pain singnals, helps restless legs, helps some hot/cold flashes, mild sedation with other sups
Clonidine- .1-.2- 3-4x a day- we all know this one
sleep- i think always adding 5htp, melatonin, seoquel or low dose benzo could help as well but i didnt personally

**hydrate hydrate hydrate- get a bunch of pedialytes if large volumes of water are difficult for you. exercise if possible... it helps
** this worked realy well for me. so much in fact that i was able to sleep through most of my days with this stack. Maybe start on lower end of these supps and increase as needed. Hope this helps brotha and goodluck. DM if you need anything.

This is a wonderful post, thank you. The OP hasn't logged back in since April 2022 but your post will be immensely helpful to others in similar situations <3
