Hello ED Forum - Sorry for yet another mdma recovery thread but I'm looking for related experiences.

Everyone on BL has been super supportive - thank you. Using everyone's info about nutrition, exercise and staying active, I have kicked my post-mdma depression and my anxiety and sleep have vastly improved three months out.

However, as those symptoms diminish I am left with this head/face tension like a balloon is blown up between my eyes and near the nasal cavity. And my eyes feel bloated and wobbly. I thought I read FBC say that this was redistribution of blood in the brain as new serotonin axons sprout up -- (and there is risk of a stroke in this situation!?) I've only used mdma 3 times lifetime, never redosed. It's hard to believe I burned down my axons with that use.

Has anyone experienced this and does it go away at some point?

I am currently experiencing what you are experiencing plus the weird moving sensations and that falling off feeling.. It is very unpleasant but I think I have also read what fbc posted about re-distribution of blood in the brain. I think the stroke happens only to heavy users so I don't think it will happen to us... Unless our cases are rare like fbc's.. I am hoping that we will recover from this soon enough.. It's been a tough 5 months for me I tell you! :)

^^ Right there everybody, two users who have been scared into believing they are at risk from a stroke from a few pills...

If you have only taken pills 3 times, it's quite a stretch to link your current symptoms to that. I have had similar problems though, and got over them with time like I did all the rest :)

and for the record, I took a LOT more than 3 pills.

Ok the risk of stroke is extreme I know. Personally I don't believe this. Though someone has documented it on bluelight haha.

But the past three months of panic attacks, depression and head pressure is definitely attributed to me taking a high dose of mdma (or whatever else was mixed in). I never had any of these symptoms to this degree before this.

That's great to hear. Head pressure/tension was one of those symptoms?

I've experienced this head pressure... feels like you brain is being crushed down my 2 tons of concrete. It lasts about 2-3 post-mdma comedown, then it faded away. I've been rolling each 2-3 weeks for the past 2-3 months. Only felt this on my last roll when I dosed higher than my normal dose (150mg instead of 120).

I really don't think 3 MDMA doses caused that...maybe you should see a doctor.

Are you saying the panic attacks I felt while rolling and then subsequently for two months was not caused by the mdma. When I never ever had a panic attack in my life before taking the dose?

Hello harry all the symptoms you describe were likely caused by the mdma/other drug you took.

Personally I wouldnt recomend seeing a doctor my own experience of doctors and post mdma issues has been very poor in terms of advice. Generally they dont really understand what has happened and is still happening.

Re the head pressure you describe I have been in contact with other users on here who have experienced the same thing and eventually it subsides.

So far so good you have got over a large hurdle it just needs a little more work of exercise healthy living etc.

I think the risk of stroke is very slim try not to read into FBCs last post too much. He is a different age to you and has a different history.

I think in your case you will be out of the issues very soon particularly with such short history of MDMA use.

My money would be on you likely took a piperazine most people I have spoken with who have experienced long term comedowns from piperazine get these terrible comedowns despite drug history etc. It seems some people just have terrible reaction to piperazine a lot of it is to do with enzyme inhibition. I assume the other two doses you took were fine on comedown etc? It would seem you took something else.

Yeah I agree with this. Sounds like a sinus problem. If you don't have insurance, don't fuck around and go straight to an Ear nose and throat doc (ENT).

Typical sinus pressure.

Doctor severely_etarded is hereby referring you to a ENT specialist. Consider this your referral. ;)

Describe the symptoms to them, I guarantee 100% they are going to say sinuses and probably look up there with a little flexible scope camera thing like with a colonoscopy and then tell you what's going on. Could be a sinus infection. Remember MDMA does weaken the immune system, and if you are snorting anything like cocaine or flushing sinuses with tap-water this definitely increases the risk.

In fact, a cheaper alternative may be trying a netti pot, use PURIFIED BOTTLED WATER. It may be just what's needed to clear the blockage. Although going to a doctor might not be a bad idea at all. If no insurance, go straight to an ENT unless you have HMO insurance then you need a referral or pay out of pocket.

I have gone to doctors and three times in the emergency rooms last year and two of them told me i had an ear infection and the balance problem/unsteadiness head pressure will go away in a couple of weeks.. It is now 4 months after and it's still with me.. Harry I am not saying that you shouldn't go to the doctor but like what Futura said, the doctors were not able to help me. I do have a neuro appt next month and hopefully this appointment will be able to help me somehow. I think what we should do is keep doing what we are doing and since we have not been long time users we should be able to recover within this year at least I hope :) I am here for support we will beat this! :)

Severely it's funny you mention this. I just went to an ENT last week and they found a sinus infection. I've been on antibiotics, Flonase and using neti pot the past week and my airways are much much better. The head pressure is still there though. I get sinus infections all the time, and never had this balloon-like, buzzing sensation. I've read numerous reports of people with head pressure during comedown. I've also read reports of mdma causing long term comedowns in people with a very sparse usage history. It comes down to the dose IMO. I took a hefty dose considering my noob tolerance.

I've had head pressure also and it's going on 4 months now. I had a really bad roll and took way more than i should've.. I had a panic attack and had some crazy hallucinations. I had panic attacks for about 2 months and really bad anxiety for 3, now I don't have anxiety as bad. The head pressure is still there tho. I also have noticed some weird vision changed too. My eyes can't focus as easily and they kinda bug out sometimes and I feel crazy. Im hoping the pressure and the eye issue will go away eventually cause it effects my day to day life. Btw during my roll my eyes were huge, super bugged out, and my pupils were shaking back and forth. But u actually just went to the dr for a sinus infection but the medication hasn't improved my head pressure yet.. I even got an mri and it showed up perfectly normal. Idk what this is but im hoping its not permanent and I hope it isn't for anyone else either!
