I have been having these heart racing dreams ever since I was put on the SSRI injections.
I don't know why but want to know if anyone else is experiencing the same thing.
2 nights ago I had a scary dream that was realistic in every imaginable way possible.
In the dream I had suddenly felt like I was out of my body walking in a different world and there was this scary voice in the background sounding like a evil voice saying my name telling me to come over to the dark side. And in the dream I was in some kind of amusement park like Disney land but it had a Roman Empire theme to it , and there was a underground tunnel that led to room underground made entirly out of dirt with fire torches everywhere and I met this bald man that looked like Vladimir Lenin that took me to a tomb and he had given me a red book that said Socialism, and out of no where these small dinosaur like creatures came and the dream suddenly shifted into the point of view through a security camera that has black and white imaging, and I seen through the view of the camera a display of a scary little girl walking in a store that looked like she was possessed by a demon very much like the girls face from the exorcist . Then suddenly I woke up but had sleep paralysis and kept seeing the face of some kind of demon and I couldn't breath or scream for help. And then it went away and I was ok . Has anyone experience weird scary dreams while on Vega injection?.

Hey isnortice! I don't think we've worked together before, so happy belated welcome to the community. Where cars run on love, the drinking water is laced with compassion and our mayor is an athropomorphic Dachshund who likes to be pet behind the ears by his constituents... US!!!! :p

I don't want to discount the meaning of this experience(s) to you. We are out to reduce harm caused by drugs, mental and physical, legal and illegal, so if you feel that this is really causing harm to your well-being, then we can definitely help. On the other hand, if this is just a pedestrian "have you ever?" with no clear objective, then it's really not something that we would field here in the dedicated HR forums. If it is not a serious situation though, we can put this in a place more fitting where you will probably get better answers as well.

If these nightmares persist, I would definitely recommend having a discussion with your prescriber. If you are receiving positive benefit from the drug, maybe he could prescribe an adjunct like Prazosin. I know a lot of folks from here on BL, as well as in my 12-step meetings who have had great luck in a pretty short period of time with this drug. Many of them are veterans with symptoms of or diagnosed Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

I'm guessing you mean that you're getting the Invega shot right? As you probably know, this is the once-monthly injectable form of Paliperidone, which is an antipsychotic medication like Haloperidol (Haldal). It seems to only be prescribed for Schizo-affective disorders. Have you experienced positive benefit from this drug or do you feel it's doing more ham than good. If I'm talking about a completely different drug, I apologize. Let me know either way and we can figure out a way for you to move forward dude.

Inbox is always open (Lonely Keif'). Still waiting for a response that I think I'm probably never going to get. It sucks when you have made someone feel so bad that you don't even know what the worst part was. I wish I did, but that's probably useless to me anyway at this point. Hannuka is coming up though and maybe she's just waiting to respond saying she might consider forgiving me with some kind of festive card. Yes, that's definitely what it is. 😔

All antidepressants tend to give u strange dreams, its a common side-effect unfortunately.
Man I hope to go back to taking Risperdal

I feel like this injection was pressured onto me by my doctor. Every doctor visit at the Mental Health department he kept telling me if I wanted to get the injection and at first he told me it was up to me so I would reject it and say no everytime he asked.
But I'm on summery probation I'm involved in the court system and plead insanity so I don't have to do 52 anger management classes which I didn't have the money for.
So part of my probation is I have to do monthly check ins with Mental Health department. The problem is at first all I had to do was therapy sessions with a psychiatrist . But slowly my doctor kept pushing this injection onto me.
And I kept saying no but one day when I went to my summery probation check in with the judge at court, the judge got super angry that I was saying no I didnt want to take the injections. Wtf the doctor told me it was up to me!. I guess the doctor wrote a note to the judge saying I was rejecting to take the medication. They wrongly diagnosed me with having psychosis . I feel that after speaking with the therapist I was diagnosed with a mental disorder just because I would talk about my life and my obsession with WWII Axis powers. I don't hear voices I don't see things I just like talking about Mussolini and Hitler and I admire German WWII soldiers . Since talking about those subjects they diagnosed me with schizo effect and psychosis .My doctor told me I have psychosis from smoking weed Lol such bull shit I told him I occasionally smoke weed then he had a look on his face as if I'm now crazy. Again I don't see things I don't hear things. I don't randomly laugh like most schizo effective people do.
I feel like this injection that the judge and doctor forced me to take has ruined my life
I can no longer get high if I smoke weed. I bought 5 grams of expensive weed from a pot shop and didnt feel anything !. Wtf!.
If I drink I have to drink 11-15 shots of whiskey just to feel a slight fun buzz. Before the injection just 2 shots would get me buzz.
And before the injection one puff off a joint would get me super high.
Also now that I'm taking the injection I have erectile dysfunction. Before the injection I used to masterbate 2 times a day every day.
Now I go months without masterbation.
And before the injection I could read hours of military history of WWII on Wikipedia and it felt fun and I had a fun imagination. Now reading about WWII history doesn't sound that fun anymore :(
I want my life back . I had plans on enlisting in the Army National Guard but now everything is ruined. I feel worthless.
