grow light heat problem

if heating from the light is problematic you will probably need an enclosed hood connected to ducting and an inline fan, blowing the heat directly out of the growing space.

personally i wouldn't suggest using cfl's, should try looking into HID lighting, MH is good for veg HPS is good for flower or veg. a 600 watt HPS lamp and ballast can cover about a 4'x4' of growing space adequately.

whether or not heat will a problem depends a lot on your local climate, temp of the house/room it is in(is there AC/heating), and the time that you cycle the lighting(day or night). Some places can utilize the heat discharged by the lights, other places need to use supplememtal AC. Also, season/time of year will vary. If you plan to grow year around, best to plan for all situations.
