Patterns, patterns everywhere,
yet not a thought to think
Piss a wrench to pry these bars,
green beer, should I drink?

Fountains of it everywhere,
I can float off this bridge,
no man never schooled me,
that a man; is what I is

One glorious line of alcoholic men,
permanent black ink spilling from a fractured pen,
I stumbled through the darkness--
became blunt to the sharpness,
what is it that I want, then?

How can I say this?
I can't even close my eyes
without painted memories,
the Devil and his Dyes

Looking down from the bridge
I believe I've spilled my porridge,
Not even my mother
knows of my courage,
because there's only black water
beneath this canyon's ridge.

and again I feel like I could rewrite the last bit, but whatever, peace friends

love yourselves, lose yourselves, find yourselves

Water water everywhere and not a drop to drink
That is of course until this lovely ship does sink

A poem by James Casey

Was this an influence @Negentropic?
Actually, no. I don't recall, was quite drunk, but have never seen that poem.

I thought it was an old pirate adage? Lol didn't know it was a poem. I didn't know there was more after the first line.
