GHB is worthless for BB, isn't it?

I read several articles on how BB guys benefit from GHB, but do they really? GHB increases 3 things - HGH, Prolactin, and Cortisol for about 2-3 hours per dose and for a night sleep 2 doses is recommended. So far 4-6 hours you get those effects.

Thing is, Prolactin lowers testoaterone and Cortisol does the same (also catabolic).

Does elevated HGH for 4-6 hours offset increased Prolactin and Cortisol? Is the net benefit positive? Does it help with fat loss or muscle gain?

I am prescribed Xyrem (GHB) and I only take it because I am in acute withdrawal from benzodiazepines (horrifying shit), narcotics, gabapentin and some other stuff. If I stop taking GHB, I get maybe 1hr of sleep per week. With GHB I get 2-3 hours per night, but I wake up wired up, in cold sweat, anxious, heart rate through the roof and in panic mode. Of course someone not in withdrawal would not get such effects. I just think it beats not sleeping because nothing else works, but IMHO it has no benefit for either fat loss or muscle gain.

What's the conclusion about GHB and it's help with BB???

The reason you wake up wired is GHB initially acts upon GABA-B receptors as a CNS depressant at higher doses (it puts you to sleep), but as the dose is metabolised to a lower amount in blood it acts on GHB receptors which are known for their stimulant effect...

For bodybuilding, don't waste your money...!!

I just took 7 boxes of Xyrem I had left and poured out all of it. GHB no more and sleep also no more.

That's a brave step given your sleep issues. I hope you still manage to get some deep sleep while you're recovering.

Why would you throw that away if it helps you? You're worried about the wrong thing man! The other stuff you took before, I'm assuming included opiates, also raised prolactin, they also lower testosterone. At least now you could have slept in order to recover. Ghb prescribed is rare, so obviously you need it!

I did not get any sleep last night, but without GHB my daily anxiety levels are significantly lower, almost gone and the itch subsided a bit. In a week or so I should be sleeping a few hours per night. The only downside is some fatigue, but nothing that caffeine can't fix. I think I did the right thing.

No, only 2x per night. I noticed muscle recovery time is much longer without GHB. I used to get barely site after lifting and GHB and now always sore.

I was under the impression that GHB is a (mild) painkiller via its propensity to release dopamine, but that may be personally-dependent.

I think GF means it's worthless moreso because it becomes addictive for too many, rather than that it having no useful qualities per se.

I remember when GBL was still legal, lots of bodybuilding friends were drinking it like water for the GH and sleep boosting properties. Several ended up dosing 24/7 in the end.

I used to use a (very) small amount with GABA, glycine, glutamine and GHRPs to create a large spike of GH before bed and promote quality sleep.

I can get some more once I become employed and get an insurance and can visit a sleep specialist. The weird part is that my mood is better, my lifts are stronger, but recovery time is way slower!

I'm sure you do feel better. GHB isn't healthy by any means. But the recreational factor is what I'm after once a month or so, I'll be honest lol.
