So I’ve been struggling with addiction since I was 17. I’m now 39. When I met my husband, we were both clean. I went through a horrendous ordeal with tumors in my spinal cord which landed me on a fentanyl patch. I detoxed in a facility using tramadol. Also horrendous. So now, 2 years later, I’m still on the tramadol. For the last several months, I’ve been buying suboxone off the street. My husband found out and was furious that I was lying. More upset about the lying than the drug use itself. So, I’ve started using it again, but want to stop. I have enough tramadol for like a month since I don’t take it when I have the suboxone. Really don’t want to tell him, because I fear he will leave this time. I have one 8 mg suboxone and the tramadol. So how should I string it out? I was thinking 1/8 of a suboxone pill every other day, then use the tramadol toward the end. I can get more suboxone but I have to be careful.
