getting high off bup after building tolerance

SWIM has taken 8mg or so of bup every day for the past few years. When swim first started taking it, he could get a buzz but haven't in a long time. Swim tried taking 16-20mg with no effect. What amount, if at all possible, would swim have to take to feel a buzz?

Google Bupe ceiling effect.

Bupe is a very very powerful opioid that builds tolerance fast. Once your tolerance is up there it is pretty much impossible to get high on, especially at such high doses as you're describing. All that is going to do is raise your tolerance even further.

There are people who believe low dose sub is the way to go, the theory being that a full agonist metabolite called norbuprenorphine that normally doesn't have the room to attach to receptors at high doses is able to attach and thus get you "high" at very low doses. I'm talking .5mg or so.

However the jury is still very out on that theory.
