My cat had some morphine
The cat knows how to prep for IV and done so accordingly as his dog has been doing it for years. The dog taught the cat and allowed the cat to prepare numerous times.
The cat decided they want to try self IV.
The cat uses veins in its arms usually.
The cat tried numerous times and missed so took a break.
A day later the cat tried again. (New needle obviously) as cat learned they blunt quickly.
First attempt cat has massive veins.
Cat knows if blood backs into syringe needle is in.
Cat seen blood go upto the base of the needle so cat thought this was fine.
Cat pushed gently and managed to inject 0.2 out of 2.0 mill max. Took a bit of force. But as the liquid slowly entered the injection site started bulging slightly.
Cat knew if he kept going it would cause a bigger bubble
Cat is now worried as the vein at the site is swollen. Tender and feels bruised about 2 inches either direction on injection site. Bruise isn't showing yet as cat only did this half an hour ago.
Cat is unsure if he actually got a vein ot just muscle.
Cat wonders if he quits now will his arm be ok.
Cat wonders if vein would heal?
Car is stupid and fears he will get gangrene or arm Wil fall off of veins will become permenant damaged.
Cat realise he is stupid and tipped his 3 x 100mg morphine capsuals down the sink.
Cat usually only uses 1/5 of a tablet at a time
