I really don't tend to like based-on-real-events type movies, but hey, it's Fincher, so I gots ta see it now.

I was wondering what he was gonna do next.

The zodiac is a pretty interesting story im pretty excited to check it out. Especially considering no one really knows who this dude was. Some people say it was the unabomber...but its doubtful.

I've been looking forward to this one for a while.

I've always had a fascination with serial killers, and Zodiac is one of the most interesting.

There have been previous attempts at dramatizing the story, and they all sucked. I hope this one is worthwhile.

A very tight, two and a half hour, well plotted and played, period themed law and order episode. I enjoyed this film very much.

watched this on dvd a few nights ago. i really enjoyed it - it's atmospheric, engaging and great to look at.

there are always a couple of shots in a david fincher movie where i'm taken aback and there are certainly a couple of those in here - he's a great film-maker. there's one time-lapse shot of the transamerica building being built which is just breathtaking and, more subtly, some of the shots of the sf waterfront are strangely compelling with the embarcadero freeway back in place (pre loma prieta) thanks to some amazing cgi.

i've always been a fan of jake gyllenhaal and he delivers as the increasingly-obsessed journo. i also really enjoyed marc ruffalo.

robert downey jr's always a treat.

Those unfamiliar with the Zodiac killings who are expecting a traditional mystery/detective plot to solve prior to its conclusion will be dissapointed. So don't expect that. This is based on real-life events, and real life doesn't usually have misleading characters or unexpected plot twists. That said, I really enjoyed watching the characters puzzle through the intricate lines of evidence and Gyllenhall's endearing portrayal of Greysmith, for whom I now have great respect.

I really enjoyed this film. I hadn't heard of the zodiac killings before, but this told the story really well. Top work

Really liked it, maybe not as much as fightclub, which is a movie you could watch over and over but it was still great.

Gyllenhall is coming a long way as an actor, good performance.

i picked up the director's cut in china. enjoyed the few extra minutes, but the sum result is neither superior nor inferior to the theatrical release (imo).

thought it was excellent. RDJ was awesome, as was gyllenhall.

the murder scenes tripped me out just how he would roll up in his car or pop out from behind a tree then next thing your life has ended plus this is based on fact so real people were killed this way... crazy shit man.

anyways this had the same effect on me as funny games (the original) and that is, i would wake up in the middle of night and i couldn't get the movie out of my mind. just twisted how crazy, cruel some people are...

and great use of donovan's "hurdy gurdy man" fuckin love that song!

The Zodiac is one of my personal favorite serial killers... I do think they could have made a better movie about him. They had little to go on as for theories about who he was and all that... I only watched it once and I was really tired... maybe I should sit down and re watch it.

Citizen X about Andrei Chikatilo was awesome!! If you like serial killers and good movies about them I highly reccomend it!
