FILM: The Last Exorcism

Plot:
The film is told from the perspective of a disillusioned evangelical minister, who after years of performing exorcisms decides to participate in a documentary chronicling his last exorcism while exposing the fraud of his ministry. After receiving a letter from a farmer asking for help in driving out the devil, he meets the farmer's afflicted daughter. Soon, he starts to question whether or not something more sinister is happening.

First off, I've grown bored with both exorcism movies and movies that use hand-held cameras. Being that this was both, I avoided it for a while. Finding nothing else in the RedBox tonight, I said, "Fuck it." and gave it a try. I'm glad I did.

This was not a great movie. But it did keep my interests and had me flipping back and forth between thinking the girl was and wasn't possessed. I liked the Blair Witch Project even though a lot of people hated it. If you hated Blair Witch, you probably wouldn't like this movie either. There are a few similarities, especially in the way the movie ends. I would recommend it though. Pretty creepy little movie.
