Opioids Fentenal Patch - Cutting Open

Friends-
I hope there's someone that has some...useful experience with Fentenal patches out there. Please allow me give you a brief history of my situation...

I am seeing a Pain Specialist. I've been on pain meds 20 years. For the first 15 years I received 240mg. morphine a day plus hydros. Never had any problems,never complained,lost a pill,etc. I worked,I played,I had a social life. Five years ago my dose began to be reduced. When it hit 180 mg a day things got tough. Not just the withdrawals-the pain,the physical limitations,etc. But the dosage continued to be lowered,and things got much worse. I survive,but the joy in life has been reduced to scarce moments here and there. I have a hard time not being resentful by the new regulations that have stolen my life from me. But enough of that.

I have been on 90mg. daily total morphine for several months. That's steady and will not be screwed with further.

Now-my concern. If I switch to Fentanyl,it will mean another dose reduction to 60mg. daily morphine equivalency. The only reason I consider it is this: I know the used 3 day Fentanyl patches will have some residual drug left. The patches can be cut open and the drug used. All dangers aside,does anyone have experience doing this? I need some idea of what % etc. of the drug would be left in old patches. I do not expect reliable,safe,etc. data. I am looking for gross estimations. My goal is to decide if there is enough "waste" to compensate for the 30% reduction in my daily dose.
Please help-any information-anything at all-will help.

PS-I'm no stranger to the street,but I have no desire to revisit the lifestyle. Those days are gone-besides,I'm old and slow now. :)
 
New fent patches are just a plastic square.no jel in them.as for how much is left after a few days who knows.if u want to use the leftover patch just cut them into quarters and then quarters again with the 75mc/h that have overall 12mg meaning each quarter of a quarter gives a 1mg square equal to 100mg of morphine
but if using a used patch this will be much less.you can't just swallow the drug as stomach acid destroys it but if you use it like a suboxone strip between your cheek and gums it's pretty good

I'm back...that did help but just not enough.
This is a matter of survival here for me,friends. Let me whine a bit more,OK? Maybe it'll get my point across more clearly.
When the morphine dose was reduced more and more,my limitations piled up higher. The fun things in life go first of course. Sex,social life,etc. is cut out and I concentrate any "good time" on survival. That and trying not to be a grouchy,bitter SOB.
So-again,I'm too old to hit the streets,most of my old contacts are gone...I'm willing to do almost anything to get my life back. I've thought about scoring online,as chancy as that might be it does seems to have been successful for some. Still...I got no time to do more time.
If there are any suggestions I'm open.
 
PS-there must be a decent % of any drug left/unused/etc. in a patch....it has to be an inefficient form of delivery for a drug.
I'm hoping someone might be willing to guess;or better yet has some experience with the dosage delivery amount versus the actual amount in the patch. If there is,say, 25% unused,that would be good to know.
 
I have reliable sources that claim differently...I know testosterone patches waste a good deal. I have heard of guys who cut up /chew old "F" patches and wouldn't dream of throwing them away after 3 days. Even if there is one day's worth,or even a half day dose left,it would certainly be worth chewing.
I'm hoping to tip the scales in my direction. Scoring these days isn't happening-everything is coke or pot.

I used to use a whole 100ug patch in a day sublingually. Depending on tolerance chewing on a whole 100ug patch all day is lethal. So I recommend for the most potential relief put like half a patch on your body and then cut the other half into as small of pieces as you're comfortable chewing on and leaving to soak in your mouth/gums/under tongue for a faster on set. Once you start to feel better spit out the patch (i used to swallow them, not healthy) and safe it for later as you can still get tiny fent off it if you're cool with chewing an already chewed one. I never did any extraction i was always able to do it by letting it absorb in my mouth. Patches of any dose are extremely dangerous so start with really small pieces for low dose and adjust from there. You seem to require them for pain relief as I did but i can't get prescribed shit my docs know what I am but my point is always wear at least half a patch on your skin and if you're going to chew any while wearing any amount of a patch keep the pieces small. Very small. One more thing. Always try to have the sticky side be the side you let soak in to your mouth. Even if you have to fold it so sticky is all thats there

Edit: P.S. you can also chew patches youve had on your skin for a while. Again just don't over do it w fent patches. I got dangerously high on them numerous amounts of times. Be careful and happy dosing
 
Well,now we're talking-this is exactly more of what I need.. I know exact answers here are tough,and nobody wants to OD.
To be clear,is there a difference in dose released sublingually if you chew? I mean,if I have a small piece in my mouth,there shouldn't be much difference whether I suck or chew it up,right? Whatever drug is left,it is released-correct?
Also,are you suggesting removing a piece/patch from your mouth if you feel a buzz? I'm not going for a prize winning high...I do have a high tolerance but want to be careful,too. This is new for me-at my age not much is new,so I want to know whatever you can teach. I'm listening,friend. Thank you.
