Fentanyl freebase nasal spray

Hi all. I have tried to make a fent (freebase)nasal spray and have mixed the fent with alcohol and water however there is no effect when used. I have ascorbic acid so what I would like to find out is Whether I can add the acid now or is my mixture ruined? Or what can I do to save it please?
