RCs Ethylphenidate Durability/Tolerance

So I'm wondering to what degree you'd need to heat up ethylphenidate (Ritalin-ish) powder to stop it from working... I took some that had been warmed by my laptop earlier inside a bullet snorter, and it seemed to work, but I was up in minutes and the half life was definitively shorter than I expected. I'm not sure if my tolerance has gone up since I spent all day bumping yesterday, although I was intermittently sniffing at 1/2g mdma too. I'm doubtful that my tolerance has gone up so fast because it was only over one day but I need an outside opinion. I'm mainly worried about something in my eph deactivating (of course this can happen with other drugs), and I want to check for future reference anyway. So any information about primarily the durability of eph or ritalin would be welcome and appreciated.
