Basically I've been looking into semen retention and it's benefits, and I can definitely say from personal experience that my life has significantly improved in a number of ways from avoiding ejaculation.

I enjoy sex, and back when I was on SSRI's I would happily have sex for up to an hour or so without finishing. I don't think the side effects of SSRI's is worth taking them again though.

I've recently read up on Tramadol; I plan on taking Tramadol + viagra in order to maintain the erection whilst preventing the ability to ejaculate.

How much Tramadol would you recommend to someone with no tolerance for the effects I'm looking for?

Also are there any better recommendations?

Tramadol is an SNRI you realize? While not the same, it does have overlapping side effects with SSRIs. The answer for me is heroin but dont really recommend going that route.

Really anything in the opiate/opioid family will make it hard to ejaculate if that’s what you’re looking for.

I wouldn’t recommend tramadol in any situation. The risks outweigh the benefits IMO.

What SSRI are you on? Some have more impact than others. For example I’m on lexapro now, and it has no negligible impact on my sex performance, while previous SSRI (I forget which one I was on) had an enormous impact.

I’m curious into the “benefits” you mention. For me personally, not being able to finish and blueballing the rest of the night not only is frustrating personally, but it also has an impact on my relationship with my wife, who may feel inadequate or that I don’t find her sexy, etc... which couldn’t be farther from the truth. Because of that I am very strategic in my opioid usage, and will avoid taking them if I think we may have sex that night.

There's Priligy (Dapoxetine), which is a short-acting SSRI - unlike taking an SSRI on a daily basis for depression, you just take Priligy before sex, so there are no psychological effects.

As KittyCat already pointed out, Tramadol's ejaculation-delaying effects are partially rooted in its SNRI action, and taking an even more potent (and thus addictive) opioid for this purpose would be an even worse idea.

So my advice would be to just get a script for Dapoxetine.

I wouldn't use opiates to delay ejactulation. For me at least they very much reduce the pleasure of orgasm so unless you are just looking to please your lover then I'd skip opiates.

Eh, despite my doubts regarding the benefits of avoiding ejaculation (I think it's hooey. I'm guessing it's more of a psychological effect, that one has a fucked up mental tie between ejaculation and defeat/submission/termination of pleasure or whatever else and thus it's more obsessing about ejaculation that causes a problem as opposed to actual ejaculation. Blowing loads doesn't make you less of a man, and I'm pretty sure those who claim otherwise are just experiencing placebo) in my experience there are few narcotics that don't prolong the ability to hold off. As someone whose run the gamut from the strongest of opiates to the purest of meth I'm assuming there's some tie between the pleasurable effects of narcotics and prevention of ejaculation, which I'd probably hypothesize on further if I wasn't drunk and mentally lazy as hell right now.

On the other hand, some make you like sex more but prolong the whole thing, like the before mentioned meth, and some just kill everything in the area off, like opiates. I very good friend of mine used to get a boner every single time he'd do heroin (even if he wouldn't just say "I'm hard as a rock" I could see his ridiculous god damned boner straight through his shorts) but for most people, me included, yeah, it'll make it super tough to jizz but by the same token it'll also make you kinda just not that interested in sex and pretty unable to get it up. Amphetamines, in my experience, will make you a horny dog and help prolong the whole thing a little bit, but it tends to just inspire, uh...repeat episodes of ejaculation, if you will. Some stimulants, like cocaine, tend to kinda suck in multiple directions by making you horny but also draining all the blood from your junk.

So basically if your sole goal is preventing ejaculation opiates are probably going to be better, but if you just want to have great sex than something like meth or mcat is going to be better.

Or even better I'd not play around with incredibly addictive substances due to the unbelievably outdated belief that semen is heavily tied to male vigor and thus one should avoid ejaculation whenever possible. Beliefs like that tend to come and go, but you can trust me when I say shit like opiate addiction has a way of sticking around: take it from a drunk and slightly spun guy wearing nothing but boxers, socks, and a really tacky tie.
