Heyo, i have a couple of beautiful double shirleys planted in two pots on a window sill. Where I live the temperatures easily reach high 80's on a sunny day.
The soil in the pots tempetaures rise up to 100F easily and as a result, the flowers won't germinate currently. Any tips on how to keep the temperature for my flowers lower? opening the window helps a little, but not enough. any green thumbs have any advice for keeping the soil temperature cool?

cheers

Ice?

Or light cool misting throughout the day? Stick it in the shade or have something block the sun?

On that note, it's been like super hot humid and then like flash flood over here. My italian parsley is dying! :(

I know it's an old thread but give them some shade, and water them multiple times a day like 2-3X with large amounts of water.
