Hi I've been a long time user of this website and just want to say it has a great purpose.
I would like to help out by donating and I have one question before doing so.


The donation link seems to go to MAPS, where it says they give the donation money to BL after a 3% administrative processing fee and the credit card transaction fee is taken out.
What exactly is the administrative fee for and who gets it?


Having been around long enough I believe I have read that moderators are not paid. What about non-moderators, such as the graphic designer, the technical engineer, administrators, and the director of communications? Are they financially compensated for their work? Do any site staff receive money for their services?


I have no issue if they did I would just like to know exactly where my donation money goes to besides bandwidth, hardware, hosting, etc. fees

the admin. fee goes to maps for administering our donations.

no staff at bluelight - at any level from forum staff up to the owners - are paid for the work they do. all donation money goes to the running costs of the site: hosting, etc.
